My wife, Peggy, and I have been camping for a little over 10 years. I retired last September and we would like to see some of this beautiful country we live in. Luckily enough, Peggy has a job that she can take extended periods of time off, which will enable us to travel.

We currently have a 29' 2005 Innsbruck Supreme, problem being, you can't get into the bathroom unless you open the slide. We are seriously looking at 3 different models...Forest River Surveyor SV303, SP293, Dutchmen Kodiak 263RLS, and Keystone Outback 298RE, 277RL, 260FL. We're just not sure which way to go. We heard that the ultra-lites (Surveyor & Kodiak) have problems with traveling with fresh water in the tank. Our Club does camping at several state parks, and all they supply is electric, so we haul our water. No one in the Club own any of the above models, so we can't seem to get honest feedback. Can anyone help?

I can't help you on the unit but welcome to the forum. I hear you are having great low temps along with some rain. We were scheduled to be in the Poconos now but things got derailed. Good luck!

We are new members also, and traded up to an 2012 Outback 277RL in the spring. This is a big step up from our old 2005 Jayco JayFeather 29N (which is an low slung ultralite). Like all trailers, there are pluses and minuses, but so far (with only one trip under our belts) we love it. Let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns.

The 277RL has the fresh water tank all the way in the back, and I have noticed that it tows a little better when the tank is not all the way full. The 29N had the fresh water tank all the way forward, and we could never tell the difference whether it was full or not.
