Smile Hello from Oregon !!!

We are, George and Donna, old duffers, been rving for over 40 years, married 48 years, been reading lots of wonderful posts on subjects we needed help on. Been working on Neptune getting it ready for summer, fixing several problems that needed our attention. Tomorrow we are getting new chassis bats and for now that will finish the immediate servicing... Hubby is planning on putting a 10 watt solar panel on next for the chassis bats but wants to do some research on that first... The 2005 Neptune was not wired for solar... This web site has been a wonderful tool for knowledge on subjects we needed info on... Thank you

Welcome George and Donna from Keizer, Oregon. Only been an RV owner for a month and a member of this forum just a few days less. It's such a friendly and helpful bunch of fine folks. We will go full time RVing in August but just getting it ready and taking it on its maiden voyage in 3 weeks to the Oregon coast. Hope it's an uneventful experience.

Welcome. Lots of great folks, information, and forums here.

If you are going to the effort to run solar you might consider a larger panel and controller. Figure out how to search on these forums and you will learn a tremendous amount about solar and will be better prepared to make the decision on the size.

Thanks YC1, We did just that and bought a 40 watt panel. We are nearly finished installing and just waiting for some fuse holders we had to order off the internet to arrive in a couple of days... Have a good day.

You will be much happier with that panel size.
