Hi
My name is Ron and I am starting to prpare for retirement after 35 years in the fire dept. My wife and I are going to attempt the beautiul state of Tn. where we recently purchased some property. I am trying to educate myself on travel trailers. We are looking for somethingin the 25-28 range to place on our property. I have aleast a few more years before we could move to Tn. but wanted to purchase a used TT before to get comfortable with the area. And of course the kids! 3 total 1 girl and 2 boys. They should be off and running by the time we make are move but for the time being they would like to come up and get a feel for the area when they are not in college of highschool. I guess something that could sleep 6-8 would be fine, This TT would be used off and when time is avaliable from work. Thanks to everyon for the time and effort that it takes to moderate and admin.

Ron, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to helping answer your questions. I am sure you will enjoy this website and learn a great deal of information from those that know. We left Fl 6 years ago full timing and just last week closed on a house in south Chattanooga. We really like the area and our jobs here. Wish I could be of more help with the TT question but I am not real versed on towables. Good luck and keep us posted

Hi Ron,

My wife and I are also leaving Florida. We have lived in Sarasota for 18 years. My wife has 1 year left to work. We will be heading to a small town about an hour north of Atlanta in the Blue Ridge mountains. We purchased property there a couple of years ago. We can't wait.

As for the travel trailer, a lot is going to depend on the tow vehicle you have or purchase. You might also consider a 5th wheel. With the right floorplan you can get something that is really like a home.

Good luck on your new endeavor.
