I joined a few weeks ago and am enjoying reading the posts. My wife, two dogs, and three cats, are preparing for a year long trip in our WOW (Westin on Wheels) starting sometime in May this year, I intend to take advantage of all that knowledge displayed here to help in our planning. We will be heading north to Alaska, back down and across the northern states to Maine, south to Florida (where we will no doubt hole up for the winter), into the eastern mountain states, out through the gulf states, up into the National Parks in Utah, Colorado, and Arizona, and then back home. Probably a little over 20000 miles.

Nicholas Tinling..
Welcome to iRV2! I am glad to see there is another fellow Sacramentan on the forum! You can catch up with how I ended up in Oregon while Sacs (my DH) is still stuck in Sacramento by jumping over to the Monaco board or reading all my blog... but this post is about YOU and your wonderful upcoming trip that you will be embarking on! I would like to suggest that you pick up a new "Milepost" book for your Alaska travels. It will help you immensely as you journey through Alaska..
You will find all sorts of people here willing to help with any questions or problems you may have.
May I also suggest you update your signature with the information regarding your Fleetwood ...and you may also want to join in with the Fleetwood group too!
Again...welcome to iRV2..which just happens to be the best RV forum out on the web!

Thanks for the suggestions. "Mileposts" is on my list, as is seeing what's up in Maryland and West Virginia.

Welcome Nicolas, Nice to hear from Sacramento. I was born in San Francisco, later lived in Stockton where I worked and retired from a Scramento Construction Company.
Youve probably seen thier Lime Green Trucks,
Teichert Const.
I know you'll enjoy this forum and the super people in it.
Safe Travels, and Best regards, Clyde
