WELCOME aboard. Nice to have ya here.
So....how "snowy" is it up there in Kansas?? We have some fellow RV friends spending Christmas/New Years in Lawrence and the recent weather reports have sounded ominous!! Wife and I full time now but were originally out of Duluth, MN, and haven't seen snow (except in the rockies) since 05 when we hit the road....and that's just FINE w. us . Again, WELCOME! Steve and Lynette

Welcome. I lived on Ft Riley 78-81, I remember some snow, but I remember the ice as being bad.

Hello, Snowy isnt the word for it. Salina thru KC has 10 to 15 inches over 3 days. 25 mph winds sustained , gusts to 50. alll of this on top of black ice. Very nasty wx. roads are improving and very passable this am. Hope your friends in Lawrence are ok. there were some power outages over that direction.

Hello, You are right. the ice typcally nails us. this case was more snow with ice starting the event. Since you were here earlier if u remember the road between ft. riley and manhattan it now looks like a car lot !!! for bent fenders. Congradulations on retirement ! I'm 5 years away and looking forward to it. thanks.

Welcome aboard the forum. Just let us know how we can help you. We aren't bashful about asking questions either.
I was stationed at Ft Riley in '64 & '65. Boy, that's been a long time ago. Loved going up to Manhattan. Didn't care much for the snow and ice on Custer Hill.

Welcome aboard.............. This forum is very informative and we have learned alot since becoming members. We just returned from Kansas after attending a funeral and I must say we nearly froze to death. Having spent most of my life their I must say I'm glad to be home.
