We are from South Dakota and have been tent and RV camping since the late 70's. Our first RV was a 1972 Champion that we finally retired. We gave it to a neighbor and It is now on blocks and being used as a deer camp on one of his properties. We recently was offered a terrific deal on a new 2011 Salem 26RKSXL so we pulled the trigger and now cannot wait to get out to the Black Hills and start it on its long journey to retirement. I down loaded the IRV2 app and have been reading the threads on this site for the past week or so and finally learned how to register. We were amazed at the level of experience and information sharing going on between members. We thank you for having us and look forward to contributing to the group.

Thank you John H glad to be here I think. I was just reading a tow vehicle forum that turned more into a personality conflict than the informative discussion it started out to be. Don't know if I am up for all the drama!

Hi derald1961, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Forrest River travel trailer. Drag it on down here to Florida and you won't have to wait to go camping. Can't come up with any Black Hills but can get you all the Red Clay you can stand.

I would love to historyljc. Unfortunately I have to work for a couple more years before the real fun starts. I have that day circled on a calendar
