Hello everyone! My name is Mike and my wife is Mary. I was googleing and ran across this community. Looked it over only to find lots of good intel. I bought my first M.H. in december 10. I bielieve I got had. lol. The minute I parked it in my drive way, The fuel pump went out. Fixed that. Then my rear A/C went out. Decided to replace both. Done. Then the rear A/C computer went out along with the electric step motor on the same day. Now my new current problem is my Generac (Genjunk) cuts off after running for 10 to 15 minutes. Machnic said to junk it and get a Onan. So we are un able to do any traveling this summer due to no A/C going down the road. The dash unit is out too. I am going to fix all my problems, Hopefully this community will be able to help me thru it all, as I dont like to use machanics. No pun intended, Makes the dollar go alot further. We love our unit. We believe once we work thru all the issues, we will have a blast. Please friend me or pm me. I would love to meet new friends. Yall have a great day!!

Hi Mike and Mary from Splendora......

from Madame Boomer (Sandy) and hubby, RustyJC from Cypress...just across town from you!

Welcome to iRV2 and you'll meet a lot of great folks on the boards....many who have been through what you're going through now with a new rig! Hopefully you'll get some help w/ the various issues...and if nothing else, you'll get a lot a sympathy! There's nothing more disheartening than to have "issues", but believe me we all have them! Maybe not as many...but we have them!

Since ya'll are in the area, check out the Texas Boomers in the Rally and Campout Section (last grouping on the main screen) and click on the Texas Boomers in the South Central area. We get together quite often (about 11 times a year!) for rallies and campouts that we host in the area and other places around the state within a few hours drive.

We'd love to meet ya'll in person!

Sandy

Sorry to hear about your problems. Please come join us at a rally.

As for your mechanic, I think, I'd look for another one for the generator. Someone here should be able to give you the name of a decent RV tech in the area. I can't help much there as I do most of my own work.

welcome to the group. once you get the problems fixed you will love it. Nice looking coach from the pictures.

Many problems are due from non-use. The MH itself has non-use engineered into the design but alas the same cannot be said of the components, A/C, genset, etc.

you need to find a trustworthy and reliable RV mechanic in your area. they are most valuable unless your going to do a lot of your own work.

Thanks every one for welcoming us! Im gonna post my first thread bout my generator. I hope it will bring good intel. Sandy, I will also check out the Texas Boomers. We will pretty much stay in Texas for our adventures for the first 5 years or so. That sounds like something fun for us to try.

Hi Mike,

My grandparents, KD and Betty Wright retired to Splendora in the 1960's. They built a house next door to his brother, Horace and wife, Ovetta. I spent a memorable week there as a child. I remember it being a really nice place. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
