Hello from Texas!

Hi there! I am not exactly new here, as I have been a member and lurking since I bought my first 5th wheel back in November of 2015. I guess it is finally time to check in and say hello.

I have an Eclipse Attitude 28SAG toy hauler. I road race and instruct sport bike type motorcycles down here in Texas (think Ninjas and Gixxers ) and using the trailer 2 weekends a month on average from February to November. Luckily I have a job that lets me work remote or that wouldn't be possible. The Attitude works really well for my use-case without breaking the bank. She gets used a lot and has held up well in my experience.

I have since upgraded my tow vehicle to an F-450 after I learned more about all this RVing stuff and realized that my short bed F-250 was not the right setup for my trailer. The picture above is from the drive home after picking up the trailer and you can see that the F-250 sagged with the OEM setup. I also went ahead with the F-450 partly to future proof myself for upgrading to a larger trailer in a few years as I plan to go more full time.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and also to say thank you to the members here for providing such a valuable resource. I have learned so much about RVing over the almost 4 years now that I have had the trailer. Much of that is thanks to the members here that take time to share their experiences and mistakes so the rest of us can learn. Looking forward to contributing where I can.

Air bags on the F 250 would have made a big difference...

Peto, I appreciate the advice! I actually did end up putting air bags on the 250 and it fixed that sag like you mentioned. I really loved that truck and never had any issues pulling the load. However, my biggest problem with that truck for my application was the short bed and small fuel tank (payload issues aside). Upgrading to the long bed and the larger fuel tank was a huge quality of life improvement.
