Hello from the Finger Lakes

Hello All. I live in Canandaigua (just outside Rochester NY) which is one of NY's Finger Lakes. I am a widower (Mary Ellen and I were married for 23 years) and we have two children- Matt 23 and Jen 19. Matt just became a father (which means I now feel older!) and he, Roxanne and their gorgeous daughter Isabellah live with Jen and me.
Before Mary Ellen became sick, our family loved RVing. No better way to enjoy life. Our kids talk about our adventures all the time. Of course the most popular story was when Mary Ellen asked to drive the RV and she ended up taking out 2 gas tanks....but that's a story in itself!
Our goal, as soon as the kids were on their own, was to start traveling around the US volunteering our time and talents. I am hoping to fulfill that dream for both of us by starting within the next few years.
So I am looking for ideas and starting to plan for the future. Thanks for any assistance!
