Just wanted to introduce my self. I'm a US Army Warrant Officer stationed at Ft Irwin, CA. I just acquired a "new to me" 1986 Western Wilderness 10' slide-in camper, which I plan using as much as humanly possible. While it may be old, it offers many creature comforts my first TC ( a '76 KIT)didn't .

More later, Brian

Brian:

Welcome to iRV2!!! Bunches and bunches of things to do here...just lock 'er in and have fun!!

Noticed you're close to one of our favorite areas...Rainbow Canyon...out on Copper City Road off Ft. Irwin road...indeed one of the best offroad areas around! We were just there 3 weeks ago.

Hope you have an enjoyable time here on iRV2!

Welcome to the site from Canyon Lake, Texas! I've been through your "neck of the woods" a few times (although I don't remember many woods). Sounds like you are set for some good camping. Enjoy the site and the slide-in!

Mojave Red,
for a few years I was the China Lake kid (just down the road from you),
that region builds a special character in a man, (although i was only 6 and I'm not sure that quite qualifies as a man,) but ....
Welcome !!
and take a look at the Rally forums down below and the Golden State area in particular. We're putting the Gold Rush Gang back together,
give us all a chance to have sit around the campfire together

Welcome,
Mike, Cordie, and lil' Zach

I'll check it out. Most of our trips are based around fishing. So, having a lake in the area is a plus. We're still trying to decide on our first trip: Lake Silverwood, Lake Cuyamaca or CO River. Unfortunately, I think the price of diesel will make the decision for us.

Fly fish at all?
if you are serious at tossin' flies, then you are definitly going to want me downstream of you, my fly pole works better then i do.
if the Kern is close enough to you, feel free to poke your head in our rally thread.

i think Kerns yearly fishing contest ended a week or two ago. They're takng signups for next years already.
