Hello from the Mojave Desert

New to this forum and somewhat new to RV'ing. Last year we dragged our poor old TT to our new place after it was stored for 6 years. Expecting the worst we peeped inside thinking the rodents and bugs had destroyed everything inside. To our amazement all was exactly how we left it! Only dusty. To make a long story short we decided to upgrade and found a used Toy Hauler in Ohio and had it delivered to our home in California last December. We've been out several times, mostly short trips to make sure everything worked. On our maiden voyage the water pump failed on the 2nd day forcing us to cut the weekend short but we were close to home. Replaced with a new one and purchased a spare. The rest of our trips have been a pleasure and we are gaining experience each time we go out. Our last trip was our longest. We spent a long weekend in the Mammoth Lakes area at a small campground called Glass Creek. It's a really nice place for dry camping with large pull through or back em up sites. Lots of trail riding for either ATV's or motorcycles. Best of all they had a noise curfew from 10 PM to 6 AM, but even during the day the loudest sounds you could hear was an occasional ATV or the wind blowing through the big pines.

Welcome, been to Glass Creek many times in the past. We love the Eastern Sierras, go all the time.

Welcome from a Mojave Desert neighbor! Maybe we'll be neighbors in a campground somewhere down the road.

We are just over an hour south of you down the 14. We love going up to the bishop mammoth lakes area as well, and usually camp at Taboose creek. It's an open dry camping area. Maybe we will run into you at some point.

Looks like it's cooling off - we are seriously considering a return trip. Thank you for the nice welcome.
