In Utah aren't you suppose to have a Jeep? Not a drag car.
Moab has got to be Jeep City USA.

Two SS Chevys winter stored in my barn.
I never could get into the Jeep thing unless it has a smallblock stuck between the fender. My drag car is my '82 El Camino and it is a real SS too!

Welcome to the forums. I hear Alfa's have so little headroom and tiny windows! That pentastar in the new jeeps isn't half bad. It's not a boat anchor at least.

So as a guy with some motor experience, tell me do you prefer the sound of a 383 stroker or a 2.2L ecotec?

That's one nice thing about the Alfa is the 7+ foot ceilings and big windows.

As far as Engine choice, make mine 8 cylinders. My El Camino has a 383 with 40 series Flowmasters and runs 12.97's up here in Utah. I'm in the far lane in this video:
2012 Rocky Mountain Raceway Street Legal Race of Champions - YouTube

BTW, I lost that race by .003 of a second.

Was it on the tree or at the end? I couldn't read the scoreboard. That's about 1/3 blink of the eye.

I went 12.972 on a 12.97 @ 102 mph. I didn't lift, that was flat out. I don't remember my light but I know it could have been better. He was .007 off his dial to my .002 but he treed me just enough to make the difference. I was doing a chin up on the steering wheel looking for more and he was twisting the throttle for all he was worth. It was a tight race at the finish line. I did the math and at 100 mph .003 of a second is 1 inch. That night the car was really consistent, the 5 previous runs were 12.972 - 12.977 a whole .005 spread all night made the car real easy to dial.

That's is consistency. I bet you win a lot of races like that. We don't see numbers like that in the boats. Too many variables.
