Hello Monaco:)

Greetings from the mid-west!

We've been camping in everything from hammocks to tents to bumper trailers to 5th wheels to our new-old 1991 Monaco Dynasty!

Prior to purchase, we looked up Monaco real quick online, finding they are still in business just north of us in Indiana. HOWEVER, since our purchase, we have discovered that nearly every part is obsolete and we're having difficulties finding pretty much anything.

Google is your friend. If you need something, someone on the forum will know where to find it. IRV2 has the best customer service on the net. Parts from Monaco are expensive but their customer service/info are free.

With an internet search your can find used RV parts from salvage yards.
Not new but cheap.

Try www.hobsonrv.com they have lots of misc parts vintage and hard to find appliance and awning parts. If you don't see what your looking for send them an email and they will help try to find what you are searching for. Hobson RV Service, Inc is a small family owned and operated business that is just venturing into online sales so they are adding parts frequently. Again if you don't see what you are looking for send them an email. I had been searching almost a year for a door lock for my refrigerator and Hobson RV Service, Inc had it in stock!

We have a 2012 Monaco LaPalma that we love. I have called customer service a few times with questions and they have always been very helpful. They are right now working with our parts mechanic to find a door latch for our pocket door in the bedroom.

Actually, Monaco parts are easy to find unless the coach is older than 2000, which ours is. We have googled and called countless places, including several salvage yards across the country, only to be told that the parts are "obsolete." Salvage yards have said they'd go out and see what they had, but only one called us back. They didn't have what we needed.

Yes, we did google and call Veurinks RV a couple weeks ago... Should we not carry the part you’re looking for, you can request the part be ordered for year 2000 or newer model vehicles! (that's on their website but we called anyway with both fingers crossed)

We called Monaco service center and were told the same thing. They also had no clue who to call for parts. But hey, if we buy a 2000 or newer they'd be glad to help!

We are currently using a zip-tie for our throttle linkage to the fuel pump... Cummins says it's Roadmaster... Roadmaster says it's Allison... Allison says it's Roadmaster... And anything we research/call on from google will have to be jimmy-rigged because no one can find a cross-over part.

We LOVE this coach but are seriously considering kicking it to the curb and counting our losses

So you need a more permanent fix for the zip tie that is connecting the throttle linkage to the fuel pump> I would suggest taking some photos to a speed shop and see if the they can engineer a solution. They should have a large selection of adjustable linkage rods. Not all racers are wizards but they think out of the box by necessity. You just need a McGiver type mechanic. You have a great coach that you love...she deserves a little extra effort. Too bad the old "shade tree mechanics" are dying off.

HI INShroyer; I assume that a 91 has a good old fashion cable linkage from the throttle/pedal all the way back to the injection pump. If I am right, I would think that on the end of the cable would be a small clevis with a pin and a cotter key that would go onto the injection pump linkage. Do you have a good old fashion hardware store nearby. They have all that kinds of stuff in bins. Should have a clevis that you could crimp on the cable and hook to the injection pump. I have made all sorts of home made replacements for parts not around anymore. People make up linkages to operate gates etc. Should be something out there you could make work. I could be totally wrong without looking at the end of what you have back at the injection pump. I hope this helps you get what you need to make your repair. Sometimes you just don't need to think new. How did they used to do it. I am sure you will come up with a fix. Good luck!
