Hello - More Snowbirds

Just like to say hello to all the wonderful folks out there in the RV world. We have been active for about 8 years with a 36ft Montego Bay 5er. Used that last winter to go south for 3 months to AZ, NM, TX and liked it so much we sold the 5er (and my pickup) back in April here and have searched for a long time for a suitable motorhome. We came across cheesy sales guys, who knew nothing, sales guys who knew everything but wanted to take all of our money and private guys who were the nicest to deal with. So after narrowing it down to a 2006 Mountain Aire (from a dealer) that had low km's on it and a private sale 2008 Dutch Star 4304 that had been babied all of its 8 years we chose the Dutch Star even though it was at the top end of our budget. Wife and I bought it last Monday. Looked Sunday and wife said "we have to go in with a poker face on". Boy was this rig in beautiful shape and she was screaming inside to buy it. We made offer and was accepted with VIN check Monday finalised 10 minutes before we handed the bank draft over. Other than the low beam headlights not working it was a wonderful experience. We permit travelled from Vancouver BC back to Alberta where it will be inspected and registered on this Monday. Had it serviced at Newmar dealer in Penticton, BC on way back. They checked everything and fixed the lights. Millions $$ Newmar inventory there. We should head out on the 28 Nov for Tucson Arizona possibly Rincon West. We look forward to swapping stories with other people and find other campers helpful, kind, caring, courteous and most of all good company. What a group! Look forward to meeting many of you all.
Regards - Barry and Cindy (my user name says it all)

Congrats on the new rig! Keep her between the ditches!
