Hello, new RVer's here.

Hello we are going on our first RV adventure this 4th of July. Short trip to Gettysburg PA.
We retired last year from the military, with a rough year for our families and a new job we finally are getting to use our retirement gift to each other.
We are from the southern tier of NY State, out in the middle of nowhere.

Welcome!
you will love Gettysburg; at least we did. Take at least one tour with a licensed guide. We did the bus tour from the visitor's center. You get the tour, circlerama (can't quite remember what it is called), and the museum for one price. Allow most of a day to get through the museum there.

Welcome to retirement. Enjoy today and anticipate tomorrow. Too late to worry about yesterday.

Welcome to the gang, Ben & Buffy! Congrats on retirement and "your gift to each other" (guessing that is a set of wheels...RV wheels, that is). Hope you enjoy your first outing.

Thank you for your service. USMC here (in 70s) - retired last year from the VA Hospital. Enjoy your retirement. Mine got off to a rocky start (quad bypass surgery) but all good now. Enjoy RV'ing and hope to catch you on the roads - we hope to hit the East Coast at some point. Heading to Iowa in a week or so.

1) Thank you for your service.
2) Happy Retirement. I can hardly wait till DH can retire.
3) Welcome to the forum.
4) I saw Gettysburg in 1986. We did the guided tour and saw the museum. My fondest memory was of my young son sitting on the canon. I was most impressed by standing at the site where Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. It really made an impression on me. I hope you enjoy your trip as much as we enjoyed ours.

Welcome to our group and THANK YOU and YOUR FAMILY for your service!!! WE all would not be enjoying our RVs if it was not for the service of all our military.
