Hello world
Hello,
My name is Josh. I'm have been doing consulting in the aviation field for 4 years now and found a market for going full-time around the country. I'll be the first and only to utilize this business model. Previous to this I studied law for 8 years and walked away from the (crooked) bar exam (I can teach some really interesting stuff about lawyers/business/commerce that would amaze you). I am 31, not married, no kids, and no obligations, financial or otherwise, or contracting ties to any State.
I've lived in campers for 3 years now and have been looking into restored busses for about 5. Well I finally pulled the plug and bought a 65 newly restored GMC. I paid cash and am setting up a Montana LLC and obtaining a driving permission slip from Montana, as well as insurance. I am not doing this as a tax advantage or break because the costs are actually more to set it up than to pay the taxes. I am doing it for protection. And it takes 2-3years to build up a credit rating for an LLC, which is what I'm doing now: full time in it privately under my LLC and utilize the business portion of it later (country wide consulting).
Anywho, I'm big on forums, both moderation and member experience, so it's good to be around what I'm comfortable. I'll keep my intro short (I type 150wpm and can get carried away sometimes) but there is some really good info I'm excited to share with many here, specifically because of the lifestyle. I think I can provoke at least some interesting thoughts on a few topics here (taxes, license, registration, LLC's) so I look forward to finding out who the very knowledgeable members are in these areas.
Hope to see some of you on the road sometime. Although ive been living in campers, I've never had to stay in a campground yet. If I'm not on the job site I'm travelling or hanging with family around the Republic. Most I've had to stay on the road is one night so I just pull over.
Later!

Thank you. I hope they do, too. If you see a 1965 restored bus with a full wrap on it, wave!

Little late...
Well, as promised:
post a picture
I Drove it 700 miles home with no problems. Undergone 3 days of cleaning, a new intake, oil, door hinges, and she's good to go.
Drives like a dream. Needs a turbo. I'll be in trouble with a 30 foot trailer on here. :x
Previous owner MAY have been a member on one of these RV forums.
I have all the history and documentation on this bus including the window sticker. Original converter did everything by hand.
I haven't found anything that doesn't work yet. To be fair, I haven't got to everything yet. lol.
I'm pondering Quartzite.... ^^
