My name is Tom but I do go by the nickname of Tugboat.

My wife and i got into camping last year. be four that my wifes idea of camping was a hotel without room service. and the last time i went camping was in 75 when I would take my Jeep to the pine barons and sleep over.

We went to rent a trailer last summer. and found that around hear no one rents trailers only class A or Class C. When we went to rent one we found out that we were not allowed to tow our car or take our dog in the RV.

So we bought a used 2000 coachman 252RKS just to go and visit her parents in NC. and to visit her other sister in a campground at the DE shore. We ended up taking 6 trips last summer and now selling out boat and looking for a bigger RV.

When i was in High school I worked with RV's at a ford dealer in Phil. PA.

Welcome aboard Tugboat

I am glad to see another sole on here from DE. We are located down Dover way. There are only a few of us but we still manage to have fun.
I will be hosting the the Spring Mini Rally this year for the Mid Atlantic Region and I might add it will be in De. So if your not doing anything the last weekend in May, check out our thread and make plans to attend. I have not posted the location as yet, waiting for the campground to open but that should be pretty soon.

Thanks David

Now i don't feel alone in DE.
I will be down to the Blue Hen RV Show down in Dover this Saturday. We are going to look at some Coachman's and see what else looks good.

Thats a pretty nice show for the area. You will no dough be talking to the people at Delmarva RV. They are pretty good folk. I purchase my Coachman Fifth Wheel from them.

Too bad we are heading to Vegas on Sat morning or I would make a point of meeting up.

Yes we have been talking to Delmarve.(Woody) The two units we want to look at won't be at the show but they have them in stock. We bought our Coachman off a person that lived just below Dover and he bought it new from there.

Welcome to the RV world.
You'll love it! I do!
Like David said it is good to hear from someone else in Delaware.
If you looking to buy a new rig I recommend taking a look at ParkviewRV in Smyrna. I have never bought a motorhome from them but have used their service department for 20 years.
Good service from honest people.
My SurfSide is there right now getting an A/C problem solved.
I live just outside of Odessa and still work fulltime so most of my trips are long weekends. I have driven coast to coast but that was years ago when I had a different job. 10 years and I retire and hit the road fulltime!
I have Memorial Day weekend plans but maybe I can get out of work the last weekend of May and come to the Rally.
It would be fun to meet up with other Delawareans and swap stories and adventures.
Let us know what you find at the show this weekend.
