Help me modify this stolen bus before they catch me.
I was in the Lowe's getting countertop supplies for my soon to be burnt trailer- ran into a church deacon and started talking bout my desire to buy a school bus to make an RV out of. He said his church had one so I went and looked. It was missing an alternator and a few of the windows were broken had been sitting about 6 months. I asked how much he called me back said. $600!
I got alternator for 400, batteries for 350. Turned the key lo and behold got a running bus! I've begun slow process of taking out the seats. Takes 2 to do it fast. Also not in a hurry so not getting much done. I keep hoping to find a service manual for this thing preferably downloadable. Mostly need the air systems plumbing and the coach and a.c. wiring. But a full manual would be great.
Oh it's a 1992 Bluebird TC2000 rear engine, automatic , twin ducted A/C single folding entrance door. The seats are dirty but in excellent shape if any one wants them. Just need cleaning . I will also have several of the sliding windows frames included as I'm covering them with 16 ga.steel.
I keep expecting State police to show up to arrest me for stealing it! LoL
Regards,
Jokey

I think I saw here on IRV2 that there’s a second forum you will want to join:

Sounds like a real project...
Hope you keep us informed with the progress.
If it would make you feel better, I sure they would take a healthy donation...

Stolen bus update.
Well folks pictures will be forthcoming. Will take a before I guess and post once I figure out how to do this. Will say mentioning this on my dating site has gotten me some chat. Would be better if one of these gals would volunteer to come hold the wrench in place . Maybe I should offer to let em drive it up the dirt road?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Congrats on the new rig! BTW, there are laws against stealing, you better take it back before they discover it's gone! Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

My Dad looked at Blue Bird Motorhomes when I was a kid. They were impressive from what I recall. Blue Bird's are suppose to be very well built. Congrats!

Me Happy you'll get a laugh out a this one. I moved my bus onto a property in the next county my land etc. One day sheriff's deputy knocks on my door tells me my bus has been stolen. Seems the county sheriff saw it there and they ran the tag and decided to inform me. I heard from neighbors it was like a drug raid out there LoL
