Just joined up. This group was recommended on a Yahoo group. I'm a retired bookseller from Asheville NC but am now a fulltime solo RVer.

I workamp a few times a year to supplement income and as a way to afford travel to farflung part of the country. In the last 8 months have put 4000 miles on my rig and worked in Pennsylvania, Kansas, and Texas.

My vintage Toyota Class C has performed flawlessly, and its rebuilt engine only has 17,000 miles on it, so I expect it to last me many more years. It's only a 4-cyl auto, so we trundle along, but it gets anywhere from 14-17 mpg. Not too bad.

Hope to get good info here and meet interesting people, online and off.

Hmmm. What's not my "cup of tea"? The Solos Forum? I am a solo, just not looking to hook up with anyone. Please explain.
