Hi from Central Florida

Hi folks! I'm Janet (Ephesis) and wanted to introduce myself now that I've stalked the forums for some time! We have a 5th wheel and are in the process of purchasing an Entegra Anthem. I can see already that there's going to be a learning curve here!

We are from Central Florida and both of us are in the Medical Field. We're still working as well. Neither of us has any plan to live in our RV but one day hope to cut loose and come and go as we please!

This forum has been so instrumental in learning things that I never even considered! You are all a wealth of information and I thank you for not only being here, but sharing what you know freely.

We love camping but I have to admit that going from a 5th wheel to a 45 foot long beast is rather intimidating. I plan to conquer that fear with driving lessons and putting in the "flight hours" needed to become proficient.

Really looking forward to our next adventures and love hearing about yours!

Hi Janet! Welcome to the forums!

We've never had a 5th wheel, we went directly to a 30' class A which we've now had for 6 months. We're from Ohio and bought our coach in Woodbridge, VA, so by the time we got home, I was pretty proficient in driving it. You'll pick it up quickly.

Now I wouldn't hesitate to drive a larger coach, even a 45' beast!

Regarding that learning curve, forums, you tube, and other web sites can fill you in on everything you need to know.

Welcome again, and enjoy the adventure!

Hi Janet

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You're gonna like it here.

If you're cautious in the beginning with the 45 footer it's a good thing. However the learning curve comes very quickly and you be driving it like a pro very soon.
Good luck with the new MH and let us know if we can help you.

Happy Trails!!!

Welcome from Central Florida.

Lazy Daze in Tampa has an RV training course. I have looked at their online videos and found them to be helpful.

My wife and I have both taken the RV Confidence course given at Lazy Days and they have lots of good information and instructions within them plus you get to drive one of the motor homes in the course.

May I ask the price at lazy days for the driving course? I could see something like that as a great confidence booster for the DW, who has yet to get behind the wheel other than in our local community college. It also may help if I'm NOT the teacher

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks here. The good news is though the learning curve goes on for ever it is only step in the beginning. Congrats on the new rig and welcome to the adventure. I too am in the medical field but happily retired
