Hi, we are new here. My wife & I travel the country for her job with the RV. Right now she is without a current contract but is actively looking for employment in a warmer state for the winter. With the temps so far this winter I am not to sure where that might be.
I found this forum when looking for troubleshooting help for my parents RV heater. They are full timers & are having heat problems in FL. Lots of good info so I decided to join.

dsbike,
Welcome! Glad to have you join us.
Not sure what work she does but maybe the Workkamping Forum under RV LIFE STYLES FORUM might be of help.

Hi dsbike,
Welcome to iRV2. Whenever we are in Concord, we camp at the Tom Johnson Camping Center CG at Lowe's Motor Speedway. It is a nice place to make one's base of operations.
To help your parents, we will need a bunch more information. RV year, brand, model, kind of heater (propane, hydro hot, aqua hot, etc). Lastly, what kind of problem are they having?
After tonight I will be off line for a week, but there is a lot of skill on iRV2. I'm sure your parents problem can be narrowed down to a few possibilities.
Once you get the details, posting in a specific forum (like the correct (Brand) owners forum) may get you very specific answers.

Hi Dsbike,
Welcome! I joined just this past year and really enjoy it here. Have learned a BUNCH from the experience of the other members. Has given me a real jump in knowledge of my new past-time.
Hope to read more of you & your wife's adventures. To me, life is an adventure with the road taking us to places we might never have wanted or expected to go. Right now, your employment is likely not a place that you ever wanted to go. However, it may take you to a whole new life that is better & richer to the life that you just left.
I am a 'glass half-full' kinda girl so try to look for the silver-lining to every situation. Sometimes you have to REALLY look- with a CDC grade microscope- to find that miniscule bit of silver but it's there and you'll find it, eventually.
Good to have you here and Good Luck!
Sheila :)

Thanks for the nice welcome. We would love to do the park volunteer/camp and are planning that for the future. At this time it doesn't fit into our schedules. My wife is a traveling nurse and is committed to at least 36hrs/wk and if possible she travels home on her days off. Depending on how far she is from home. I go to where she is every other week & she comes home every other week. That way we get to discover whats in the area she is working in. She has worked from the west coast to the east coast & some in between. We both have jobs that we can have extended days off between our work days and we can fly for next to nothing. She is not without employment at this time, just not traveling until a contract comes available.
As far as my parents heat problem, they have called a tech to come tomorrow. I personally think for what the tech is charging in labor my Dad could replace the possible parts himself. He is a retired mechanic and very capable of doing this. O-well there goes a little piece of my inheritance. LOL Actually, if he fells better with some one else fixing it then that is what he should do. He is retired. Its nice to sometimes not get your hands into it and let someone else fix it for a change
