Hey this is my second post. First post went to the pop up section.

I found the forum when I was looking for used pop ups and decided to join. We went camping last week in a borrowed tent and had to bail water for two days...but in spite of all that we had a REALLY good time.

We have an appointment to look at our first used pop up tonight. We are looking at a 2003 Rockwood, M-1640 LTD for 2450. Is this a good one at a good price? Needing some major advice from you more experienced people out there.

My husband has a heart condition and needs AC and this one has that...plus we mainly wanted a bed off the ground and AC were our two main goals.

Learned something here already too. They are called pups...which I think is really cute!

Welcome to iRV2. You can check pricing on used RVs at http://www.nadaguides.com.

They are selling for less than low retail in today's market.

Check it over and look for leaks and on a pop up, pulled seams and torn or worn places on the canvas.

Good luck on your quest.

Ken

Thanks RVwizard! I am sure I will have a lot of questions. This is a very nice forum, and Im proud to be a member. I will try to get some pics of the new pup when I get a chance.

Where in KY? Back in the 70's, we lived in Florence, a few miles south of the Greater Cincinnatti International Airport (!) in Boone County. "Western Hospitality" was coined back when the West started just on this side of the Pennsylvania state line. Great people, fun place to live - even with the '74 tornados!

Western Kentucky, closer to the Indiana side. I have been to Cincinnati, so have probably been through Florence too! Yup, you can't beat southern hospitality!
