I’m about to bite the bullet and purchase my first RV. Any advice?

General advice...
Don't let the salesman decide what you want and push you to buy "today."
Pay close attention to your walkthrough. Take notes or video of the critical or complicated points. (How the entertainment system operates is sometimes complicated, if that's important to you.)
Go camping close by for a few days to get used to the systems. Some dealers have campgrounds that they will allow you to stay at for a few days,
Enjoy the experience!

If you plan on going to the Keys. All state campgrounds are usually booked a year ahead. So get your reservations in now.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Don't get in a hurry! Do a lot of tire-kicking! Floor plan is VERY important!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

We made a punch list with what we like to have in an rv. Than started the big hunt. After few months of looking, found what we wanted 800 miles away. It had 90% of the items on our list and we bought it. Don’t rush . If you are not comfortable, or in doubt, walk away.

Be careful of buying any Rv's in South Florida. There are a bunch of storm damaged RV's. Look carefully for water damage in basement compartments. Water and electrical wiring don't mix well

Take your time deciding. Look around, go to some shows, visit different dealers and write out a list of the things that are important to you. Then you'll better know what to look for.
