Hi from Michigan

No RV yet, but starting the process. Hope to get some good info from the forums to help make the process easier. Also hoping to become educated to the lifestyle.

Hi ValerieJo,

Welcome to the forum from another Michigander! You have come to the right place to learn what you need to know.

Any idea yet what interests you? What age are you, want to camp on weekends mostly, going to retire in the rig, use it for long trips, it will determine what you look for.

This time of year there are a lot of RV shows here in MI and in Indiana. Not too far to go but will get you a good feel of rigs. DO NOT buy at these shows until you have looked around a bit. Right now you are just learning and this is a big purchase.

Do you want new or used? What budget? Do you need room for children and or furry kids? Usually floorplan is what most people consider the most important. I agree. I came here 2 yrs ago roughly and bought not quite a year ago. I learned a lot o good lessons here and made a much better decision than I would have made without this site and kind people here.

Join in, read some threads, ask questions, and use the PM to message privately if you want to.

Good luck with your learning, Lynne
