Hello all...

My wife Pat and I (Ray) have been RVing since the early 70's...had a Field & Stream, 24 ft., class C (Ford E-350) with bunk beds in the back for our two kids...that old RV made it all over the western states...and many back roads in Nevada and Utah!

Later we went through several 4X4 vehicles and did some tent/camper things, and bare tent camping off in the outback of California's mountains and deserts!

We recently picked up a spiffy (like-new) 2000 Lance 1010 slide-in camper to put on our 1999 F-350 SuperDuty 4X4 Ford pick-up. We've only used it a couple of times so far, but plan several trips south into Baja California where we like to explore in spring and fall months. Getting off the beaten path is our 'thing', and the trip going and coming is part of the adventure, for us.

We enjoy all the hints, fixes, info, etc here on the forums.

All the best to our fellow RV'ers...

Welcome to iRV2, Ray. We just returned home after a quick trip to spend Saturday in Modesto and Sunday in Roseville, with family.

While your stated preferences are somewhat different than ours, I know you will find lots of folks with the same likes, and provide you with lots of tips and helps on what to do and how to do it.

We were raised and worked in SoCal for the first 14 years of our married life and then moved to the Bay Area. Now retired, we prefer vacationing at the coast and the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

We look forward to your contributions, too. You never know... you may convince us to go south if you make it sound good enough.

Welcome. We were up past Lodi last weekend for a business expo. Should you find your self down in the bay area we are full timing at the Betable RV resort in San Juan Bautista. Give us a shout some time.
