Howdy from a former pdx'r (we moved just across the river to become tax exiles!). You'll find a lot of good people here and great advice, too. Can you post a pic of your MG?

One of my earliest childhood memories is riding in the back of my father's MG TC or TD (can't remember which). In the back as in a 4 year old tucked in the space behind the seats. It would have been around 1951 and my father, who was a car mechanic, bought the MG in pieces from someone who had stripped it down to restore it and then lost interest. So,it must have been fairly old even then. I remember the big Lucas headlights and the leather bonnet strap. It was British Racing Green if I remember correctly.

First, I would to say how many beautiful MH/trailers I have seen pictured here and the wealth of info. from everyone. We picked up our new 2014 ACE 29.2 winterized (so sad). Our plan for retirement (4 yrs) is to snowbird with a box trailer holding our ’53 MG TD. My investigation shows the 16’ Low-rider V-nose Hallmark, VNLH7X14WT2, should answer nicely (HOA 7’ garage door restriction). Without the trailer, but with Blue Ox towing system, our next car will be a Ford Focus 5-door manual trans. for turn-key tow flat operation. The admiral keeps telling me that’s our plan & we’re sticking to it. Meanwhile, we are looking forward to seasonal RVing in the NE. Hopefully, a single drop will answer both the car and trailer restrictions.

Does anyone know folks who are traveling with their British car(s) or threads on this subject?

British Cars

No prissy little cars for us, we race 'em!
Also, note the real pinball we take along for pit fun with our friends...
