Hi from the Hohokams

Hi all! My wife Wendy, or bassett/lab Mabel, cats Sylvia and Phoenix, and I will be hitting the road full-time real soon. Not exactly by choice, since our SSI and SSDI won't cover our mortgage here in RI, but a long time dream.

(In case you are wondering, our handle comes from an O'odham Indian word (huhu-kam) meaning "all used up". Hohokam is the name archeologists have to a tribe of people in what is now southwestern AZ who seem to have suddenly, some say mysterously, disappeared, and translates to the more pleasant sounding "those who have gone".)

Although I traveled extensively by thumb when I was younger and, a little, crazier and we had a pop-up for awhile, this full time stuff will be a while 'nother animal.

We have about 2,567,542.05 questions but will try answering as many by reading previous posts as possible.

We are leaning toward a Class A at first, since we expect to be doing more driving than camping for the first year. Then again some TT look mighty comfy. But then we get into the motorhome and TOAD vs (keep our Milan or get a small 4x4) versus TT and truck (size? pets while traveling) issue.

Anyway, happy to have a tribe to rely on as we set out on our adventure. (Hoping to stumble into some hippy/Deadheads out there).
