Hope to get help
9 mo ago we bought a 1999 National Seaview 31 ft motor home inside rough conditon. Motor great condition. A project for me. I have refinished the cuboards, ripped out the nasty rugs, threw away the bed, replaced the taps, scrubbed my fingers to the bone put on new tires, new batteries and there is still alot more to go. The fridge, stove, furnace all work. the gen may need a tune up as it is hard to start, but runs great when started. Now I need the wiper arms/spring for it I have tried everything to keep them against the winshield. No luck so I need to replace them but can not find any... so if any one knows where to get some or what is compatable with this unit I really need help !!! I would really like to use the unit this yr but with out the wippers I do not want to chance there being rain and I get stranded.

Hi Poppa!
Try a google search for "rv salvage". There may be one near you.
also, there is a forum here for National owners. that I'm sure will be more helpful.
National RV Owner's Forum - iRV2 Forums
Good luck! Hope you can hit the road soon.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your time on the site. I'm sure if you took your wiper arms off and took them into a NAPA store they could match them with something. RV salvage is also a great idea or a local rv dealer. As long as they are the same length and mount the same way it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps and you get what you need so you can finish your project and get out and enjoy your motorhome. Good Luck.

National used Denso for the wiper system.
DENSO Heavy Duty Quality Parts
I think you can get direct replacement parts from there, or at least get part numbers and search from there. Click the catalog link on the above site, yours is on page 56.

thank you every one .... I am going to try the Denso link. Why its such a big problem is, I live in Canada and the salvage yards dont carry that stuff. I have called all over hells half acre and nothing.... I have taken my unit down to the big rig places and they have no idea of what to do. They looked, and found nothiing big enough that would work. When I was in the US, I talked to a RV place and they said there was a place in Georgia that has Nation Rv parts but for the life of me I can not find it. I will take photos and post them soon ... I looked today for rug to re do the driving area and dog house to day.Tthe cost is lower than I thought so am happy with that! My kids named the unit the Hillbilly Hilton ! I am so excited to get it on the road !!!!

Since you called hells half acre, I'd Google hells other half acre. Wiper assemblies are not custom to an RV manufacturer, they are using off the shelf parts from trucks, step van, buses, and the like. Lots of wiper part makers out there - all you need are measurements. I'd also email some of these manufacturers with your measurements and see what they can do.
Here's a couple I had in my Rolodex to get you started - Googling can be you best friend finding these parts, you might even find another RV forum with more National owners that can hook you up directly...

Your Generac generators starting problem is probably the choke. The linkage is in back of and below the air filter housing. Try to start it at the generator and give the linkage an assist with you finger. The choke has a bimetallic element and a little 12v solenoid. The solenoid and its linkage is just below the air filter.

Its too bad your National was mistreated. They were a very well made MH. Yes Denso still carries your wiper parts.
Regarding your generator, I have to assume it's a Generac Q-55. The starting problem is most likely a bad choke solenoid. They are cheap and easy to replace. If you dont have a manual and a troubleshooting guide, we can certainly point you in the right direction.
Join the National RV forum and use it for National specific questions.
