My parents were contemplating getting a travel trailer and myself, my brother and sister were going to chip in for it. The only downside is that our Dad only has a small truck so that limited the size and my brother has a slightly larger truck but we are still limited. Myself and my sister don't have trucks. The idea was for everyone to chip in on the purchase and then each of us could use it when we wanted with our respective families. The only problem was that my sister and I would each have to borrow either our Dad or brothers truck when we wanted to go away. Not ideal.

So we're currently looking at different motorhomes. Not sure what style yet. We actaully havne't even BEEN in a motorhome yet, just the travel trailers.

Our concern is with seatbelts. So I assume you have two seat belts up front with the front seats but are there any others on the couches or dining room table seats? If not, is it something that can be added as an option? I'm clueless.

My MH has 5 seat belts in the living area.

Our beast sleeps 7 but has seat belts for 10. It IS our first and only, so I can't speak for others or the average..

Most motorhomes have quite a few seat belts. Mine has two up front. Three in the dinette (the one place that doesn't have one is due to the furnace or some item under the seat and is marked as not to be sat in for travel) and two that originally were for chairs which are now being used to hold down dog crates. If your looking at older motorhomes look for those that have lap belts and shoulder belts for the two up front. Some of the ones we looked at did not and we bypassed these.

Thanks. My concern was that a motorhome may sleep 6-8 people but only have belts for the 2 people up front. It left me scratching my head. If there are belts in the back of the vehicle then that's awesome.

Our MH has two in front and two on the couch. But here's the kicker, the passengers aren't required to use or have seatbelts available due to the size/weight of the vehicle. Check a school bus, no belts there either.
