How Much is Enough?

We are buying 2016 cougar 327RES and I believe it has a GVRW of around 12,000. Would the 16k Curt hitch be enough or is it better to jump up to the 20k to be on the safe side? And, is the Reese better than the Curt?

What's better single or double jaw?

What features should I look for?

Hi! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

The 16K hitch would be fine. Don't know about the other!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Pin Height

We are purchasing a 2016 Cougar 327RESand I would like to know the dimension of how far from the ground is the pin? I am getting ready to install my 5th wheel hitch and would like to know what height to set it at?

According to what I have read it is the difference between the pin height and the tail gate of our truck.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
