I just put a deposit on a 2000 Dutch Star. This will be our family's first RV. For the last 4 or 5 years my bro in law has been trying to get us to purchase a MH, but I have been somewhat reluctant. We were going to rent one for a trip and after pricing the rental and a multitude of other things, we decided to buy.

I have been lurking for a few days and decided to register and say "Howdy". The information on this forum has answered many questions. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. That's exactly how our family got started motor homing. We had a truck and camper and planned to attend a family reunion in Arkansas (in July). Cheaper to buy than rent. Kids are grown and my wife and I love to be on the road.

Thanks for the replies. We are planning to enjoy it, for sure. whem2fish, you are right down the road, we live in Palestine. When I was in High School (long time ago), I hated playing ya'll in football. Bunch of big ol' corn fed boys over there!
