howdy everyone!!!

howdy everyone!!!

got our new-to-us 1999 national tropi-cal 34' motorhome a month ago.

fourteen months and counting 'til we can full time.

trying to sort out non-working brake light problem and those non-deploying leveler jacks... other than that we are happy about-to-be campers.

first thought we would relocate to the pacific nw and use that as a base to wander around...then we woke up and decided the stick and brick could wait. so anything truly worth keeping will go in a climate controlled storage 'til/if/when we do get off the road.

i've been lurking here for about a eight months & realized it was time to join up!!! there is more information about more topics and more friendly people here than i will ever be able to read or meet.

breathe, relax and enjoy.

Hi Kenneth & Teresa! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you decided to join us! You're really lucky! There's a rule that lurkers will be shot on sight and we had a posse out looking for you! You joined just in time!
Congrats on the new rig! I'm sure you'll track down those problems soon. Let us hear from you often as to how it is progressing! Good luck & God bless!

Motherboard is a popular item to check/replace for the jack issue. Check the furnace motherboard, that one comes unclipped easy and it can be cleaned. Noisy furnace fan is an undo replace fix. Check the pex pipes @ all the fittings...... Its a 99. Happy times, the Tropical is a dream to drive and live in.

i have a feeling i am going to need ALL the technical/mechanical/spiritual/etc help i can get with our adventure-mobile. i am only slightly mechanically able......but am really looking forward to learning how to diagnose/fix/repair/duct tape/baling wire/vise grip this baby to keep it going.

Nope, no one gets away un-noticed
Repairs are simple, your tool box needs four sizes of hammers, pliers, lots of duct tape, several bottles of gorilla glue and a prayer book. Owners manuals are ok but why read the directions first?

If it moves duct tape, if that don't fix it, its electrical
