Howdy from British Columbia

Hopefully all who read this are having a great day.

My wife and I have just bought a2004 32 1/2 foot Triple E Topaz Touring edition 5th wheel, with 3 slide outs.

I have a 2006 Dodge 3/4 ton with a diesel.

We were over visiting our son's friend and wife who just had a baby and he was selling the trailer for his mom as his dad passed away. Knowing the guy is a straight shooter we bought the trailer although we had no intentions of buying one.

We have had some RV experience with my folk's motorhome and trailer when we had a young family and they let us use them.

But I would ask that if anyone could pass on some knowledge regarding mechanical tips, check-ups, etc. it would be most appreciated.

The unit was bought in late 04 or early 05 and made a trip up to Dawson Creek and Arizona, probably about 8,000 K or 5,000 miles. Then his dad died and it has been sitting for the last 4=5 years or so.

We like to head down south in the winter but have been driving and staying in hotels.

We have a cabin on a lake about 4-5 hours north of us and I like hunting and fishing.

Thanks to all for the kind welcomes, Hopefully I can contribute to this fine forum. I see Dogpatch is a fellow BC'er but for you folks who live a little further away and I can provide any information about our province I would be happy to tell you what I know. I am a pipe fitter by trade and worked through out the province when I was younger,

I have always like travelling and we are really looking forward to using our trailer.

Forgot to ask a question, when we are booking a spot in a camp ground do we include the truck in the spot where it asks how long?

Here is a picture from our deck on Pavilion Lake. Google NASA/Pavilion if you are interested in science stuff.
