Howdy from Central Texas

Greetings from the "frigid" south. OK, nothing like what's happening in the midwest....Anyway, looks like a really cool forum and wanted to jump in and tap some of you "experts" from time to time....and contribute where appropriate!! Wife and I have been RVing (parttime) for about 5 years in a 36' Pace Arrow Vision with a 460 V8 that has a Banks system installed. Been a sweet ride but looking to move to a modest Diesel as we approach retirement time (approx. 1 year). However, the boss...I mean my wife has a pretty firm requirement, that being a mid entry. Am just starting to do Google stuff on mid entry diesels but thought I might gather some insight thru the forum. Any advice would be welcomed. Great to be here and looking forward to future chats.

Hi Bryan and Cheryl -

Although I don't have any answers to your questions above, I did want to post a BIG Texas welcome! We have a number of Texas Boomers who are located in Central Texas that have DP's and I figure they'll be jumping in here anytime to give you their expert advice/thoughts/notions for your consideration.

I also see this is your first post so Welcome to irv2! I know you'll find this a friendly place to surf through the forums and you'll meet a lot of nice folk from all across the nation.

I invite you to check out the Texas Boomers in the Rally area near the bottom of the main page - just click on South Central Section and click on Texas Boomers and you'll see what we're up to in the coming new year. We'd love to have ya'll join us for a rally or campout ....have a couple over your direction in 2010!

Sandy

Jeepster, welcome to iRV2 and do visit the Texas Boomers. I was born in Georgetown a few years ago and may parents are buried there. Still have a few relatives there and a friend in Sun City.
