Howdy from Central Texas

Hi. My wife and I purchased a '06 Travel Supreme M 40DSO4 a few weeks ago. We've already taken 4 weekend getaways and love it.

We own/operate 3 commercial turkey farms in the West, TX area (town of West...known for great Kolaches and Czech culture). We are pretty much tied to our farms except for weekend "load-n-go" getaways and a couple of week long excursions when our flocks move, so we thought an RV would be a good fit.

We have 3 children 2 in college and a 3 year old son (I really tried to get my wife to go for a nice red corvette, but she wanted a baby! Glad she insisted!). So far we love it and are looking forward to new adventures.

Hi Ken and Dana,
First a warm hello, second, on your last line "so far we love it..." the baby or the rig?
Im a newbie, bought the rig days ago. Living in my front garden for a week. The plan is when I stop bringing things from the house that I need then anything else is wasting fuel. Then Ill be ready to go.
Im in England with a plan to tour europe for a year.

Ken and Dana;

Welcome to iRV2. We are glad you joined us. When I started RVing I owned and operated a truck stop and like your turkey farms, my DW and I were tied down except for some week ends and a 2 week vacation once a year. The RV worked out beautifully for our needs.

Post often and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Ken and Dana,
Welcome to the fourm from another TEXAN. My DW and I have stopped many times in West for the Best Kolaches in the World. We've also attended the West Octoberfest celebration. We once lived in Temple and enjoyed being in Central TX alot. We are now a part of the Dallas crowd. Again, welcome and post often.

Hi Ken & Dana
Welcome from an East Texan, like you we are tied down also. Only in Texas are there so many with a 'ranch' of some sort. I have a 'poodle' ranch as you have the 'turkeys'. So our free time is precious and a get away is such a wonderful thing.
Hope to meet you at one of the 'get togethers'
