My wife Patty and I recently tested the water by buying a Harney Desperado-Tahoe Class C. We so love being on the road, in the MH, etc. that we are considering moving up to a TREK. The question has become when/how not if. We are exploring the Ford/WH and Dolly/4 down questions and welcome input. Thanks to aktrek for inform1ng us about iRV2.

Hi Ray & Patty!
We're so glad you took our advice and checked in here. By far this is the most helpful forum on the web and we are learning alot about our new-to-be Trek. Looking forward to meeting you both in person AND that Lasagna!
Happy 20th Anniversary!!

Welcome also WilyRay...

We too hail from here in Colorado Springs. We are retired and have been enjoying the motorhome lifestyle since 1999 when we purchased our first motorhome, which by the way was a '97 Trek. Loved it but the ceiling bed didn't work out for us because of my wife having a handicap. As our signature notes we now have a Pace Arrow which we love.

I wished it had worked out because I'd still have one or most likely a newer one.

Anyway good luck on your endeaver.

Welcome aboard, Ray & Patty.

Use the FIND function to search for messages on the Dolly question and you should find lots of previous discussions. Opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of 4-down, though.

Just an update to this note. In late September, we drove to Oregon and bought a '06 Trek 28RB2 from Guaranty's RV Factory Outlet. It is on a '05 W20 Workhorse and as soon as we add the trac bars (two weeks), I think I will be pleased. The box is great, but I sure had to work hard to drive it back to Colorado. There are so many neat features that Safari (Monaco) have on the Trek that we are anxious to get it driving comfortably and hit the road.

We had a Chinook class C until Huricane Charley decided we didn't need it any more. With the insurance money we bought a class A Fleetwood Fiesta 26Q. It isn't qite as good on gas as the Chinook was but the exta room amkes up for it. I tow a Jeep Wrangler, both behind the Chinook and now behind the Fiesta. It works quite well.
One question for you folks in Colorado Springs, where is a good place to stay next May when we come there to see our Grandson graduate from the Air Force Academy? Thanks for any info. Bob
