Howdy from Texas

I posted a thread in the hybrid section, but thought we should introduce ourselves to the great folks here. We are Brian ( computer programmer )and Erika ( nurse ) living on a sailboat. We would like to sail the caribean US coast and spend hurricane season in the rv exploring our beautiful country and visiting family( the Surf and Turf life).
We haven't picked the rv yet but like the jayco and rockwood roo 19 footers.
Really love this site, look forward to learning the ropes with your help.
Thanks,
Erika, Brian, and pooch kaela
Aboard s/v Rain Dog

Ps
Don't have a truck yet either
( Nissan altima and scion )

Hi and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have the best of two worlds. Good luck finding your new RV. I would also like to point out we have a National Rally. This year we are currently winding down in Virginia. We have had the best time. Next year we will be having our Rally at Marion, NC, the end of September. We would love to see you there.

Thanks for the greetings.
Texaspsx, Brian's last boat was a Catalina, he loved it. We now have a pacific seacraft 34, we are getting married ( again) aboard her in a month:-).
I will look up the next rally for this area, sure would like to meet you folks and gleen as much knowledge as we can before buying anything.
Cheers,
Erika

Casita 17 SD 2004

Well we found a casita 17 SD that we fell in love with. Good quality, compact, easy to tow ( I hear). We still don't have a truck, that's next :-).
Thanks for all the advice and welcomes,
Erika and Brian

Casita has a loyal following of owners and do not have many problems. There are a couple of Casita user forums. Any V-6 power SUV should do OK with the 17' Casita.

Hope you can make one of the Texas Boomer rallies.
