Post Howdy from Texas

I actually joined this website 3 years ago after we bought our first travel trailer (Keystone Cougar 25RET) and was seeking knowledge about RVs but never posted and have not been a frequent visitor. A couple of recent searches for info led me back here so I thought it was time for an introduction.

Most of the time it is just my wife and I plus our 2 dogs but we have 4 grandkids that might come along (1 or 2 at a time). We found that our original TT was a bit too confining in the living area with more than 2 people or just the two of us and the dogs. So we traded for a new Keystone Bullet Premier 30RIPR a few weeks ago and it has made all the difference in the world.

We live in Montgomery County in SE Texas and we usually like camping in parks next to water of some kind whether a lake, river or the Gulf of Mexico. Most of our trips are long weekend types but last year we did an extended trip (10 days) to Big Bend NP and the Davis Mountains in West Texas.

See you around!

Welcome! We're from Austin TX doing a full-time RV road trip... Big Bend NP was actually our first "official" stop along the way. What a beautiful place. We learned a lot and can't wait to go back and do it right next time. We also look forward to getting back to the TX gulf coast to enjoy Port A from our RV instead of our tent as we've done in years past. Good luck! Consider the full-time life!

Port A is nice, we've been there a couple of times but only once in the RV.

We'll be working for a few more years before retiring. Then we plan on travelling quite a bit in a rig suitable for the full-time lifestyle. Not sure whether we will sell our property and actually go full-time or just downsize and go a lot more part time.

Absolutely! My mother-in-law went with us on our first trip with the new rig and there was plenty of room for all.
