Howdy...New Member Here...

I have been searching the web for Information on DP's...This site kept popping up in My searches...Therefore thought I would Just Sign up...I am In the Market to Upgrade from My Trek...I had used it for quite some time Now and had Just Purchased a New Enclosed Trailer...Seems The Trek does NOT like extra Weight...Plus I am going to start to semi Full Time...Looking for More room to spread out...

Looking at possibly a 2001 MountianHigh Summit M3990...Seems that they where Only manufactured for a couple Years...It is Hard to find any information on them...I really like the Floor Plan on this Model...Price is right as it is well Below Book...However...I figure About time I Make it roadworthy(for long distances)...It would Be at Low Retail...I am Sure it will Need All Regular and age related maintenance done to it...I figure $10-$15k should Make it Right for Me...I am Very Particular when it Comes to How I like My Rig to perform...

The 8.3 cummins and 3040 Allison 6 speed I Know Is a Good EZY to repair(when Needed) combination...Just Uses More Fuel than the 5.9 and also is More Costly in the Repair department...However...EZY to get 500k Plus out of one...

Buy the way...On Those of You interested on Fuel Mileage (is see Many Threads on this)...I checked My MPG's when Diesel Was at a Premium Price a Few Years ago...Colorado to Florida...The closer to the East Coast I got the Higher the Cost of Diesel...Therefore...I kept the Tank Full Until I hit Florida...Then I Kept it around Half Tank...No Need to Carry ALL That extra weight......I was at 11-12 in the Mountains and got 16 MPGs across Mississippi Alabama and the Florida Panhandle...I do Have a Couple Spare PCMs...One Makes it feel Like a Big Block(gas motor) In a Small Car...Only used it for Test Purposes...Then I have another Prom that Gives it a Bit More HP...However does Use More Fuel...I Had Propane Injection on it...Until the Cost of Propane Got to be More $$$ than Diesel ...
