Howdy Y'All From Houston

The wife, our dog, our cat, and myself have been RVing for 1 year now - what a learning curve! We are on the road 6 months of the year (the hot months in Houston) and enjoy our brick-and-mortar home in Houston the rest of the year.

Last year we and another family made the great western National Park trip. We met so many great people and experienced so much of this wonderful country.

I retired last year after 24 years in the Air Force followed by another 18 years with Boeing working on the International Space Station. We have 3 grown children and 2 wonderful grandchildren.

This spring we are setting out on a 6 month journey to Alaska to see if Alaska is really bigger than Texas--Hard to believe!

They, whoever "they" are, say Alaska is bigger than Texas. The difference as I see it John, we don't need a float plane or dog sled to get to the great place in out state.

Alaska is a at the top of our bucket list and as soon as I learn to mush a team of dogs we'll take the trip.
