Howdy yunz all

New to site and been checking out things abit.

Little background on things about me. I've been raised camping and my folks have been the next thing to full-time as you can get other than keeping their place in Western Pennsylvania. So I guess I get the bug by nature.

Back in 14 I had surgery which left me on disability and I started feeling like a prisoner in my house. So after long though I decided to start doing a little traveling for myself. I had a toy hauler sitting in the driveway which did see much use and figured it was time to see if I was cut out for life on the move. Didn't take long until the words the voices in my head, said Oh Yeah. So last winter sitting in NM I started telling my buds the house was going on the market in the spring when I get back to Pennsylvania. Well long story short, I got home on the 5th of May the house was sold on the 6th. Which really cought me off guard and really wasn't set. But anyways I'm still in Pennsylvania getting things sorted out with doctors and lawyers and such.

I'll have plenty to learn and lots of questions. Figured I'd better turn to a site for help. Did some research and decided to take a chance on you folks and see which path you lead me down.

Peace Jon

LOL, I saw "yunz" in the title and I had to read to see if you were from PA. I think that they are the only people in the states that say that. (I'm from NE-OH and have plenty of Western PA friends)

Good luck in getting everything sorted and getting on the road! I joined the site a couple years ago when we decided to go mobile. I'd only ever motorcycle camped and my wife rarely camped but we're 2 years in and loving it. The information you can gather from the folks here is awesome!

Welcome Jon. This is a great site for someone trying to figure out what type of camper to get. Or have you pretty much pinned that down at this point? When you are ready to go exploring RV's on this site, it would be helpful, taking into account your comfort level doing so, to share the parameters of your disability.

Welcome from another “yunz” user. Grew up about 15 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Lots of good info and people here to get what you are looking for.

Good luck with the new life direction.

Well thanks you all for the kind welcome. I knew the yunz would be a dead give away of my childhood. But Gumpster, you must be from a Rick folk. To have spelling for homework. I was always too busy milking the cows and slipping the hogs for schooling after hours.

Well, would have been nice but nope...dad worked in Clairton coke works and mom was a bookkeeper.

We did used to go to the farm out the hollow to get milk straight from the farmer. Remember having to shake it to get the cream mixed in.

For entertainment we used to park on route 51 and watch them dump the slag where the new Century III mall is now. Looked pretty cool at night.

The good old days . Kids now a days don't go outside. But I have to say my grandsons are had to find if their mother don't put on the leash. They are always in the the woods or in the creek. But I know not all have those things to enjoy. Hell Saturday night was the big deal. The bus would come out from town and haul us to the roller skating rink till 11. Lol
