I did it!

Hi guys,

this is to let you all know that I finally did it and bought myself an older DP coach.

Unfortunately I was not able to post this news to my original introductory post, so I had to open a new thread. The original post and ideas you can find here.

So well, I just made the biggest mistake in my life, or the coolest thing I ever did. I just transferred the money and now, finally, own a '98 34ft Foretravel U270 with the 8.3 Cummins Diesel, 8kW generator.
It took me two days to go over all the systems and check for any "hidden" problems. I even managed to find two problems and was able to talk down the price a bit, however I'll have two weeks full of work now before I can really take off travelling.

What's to be done?
- there's a water leak in the back of the coach, it's either the seam inbetween sidewall and rear cap or the window, about half a square feet of floor is rotten due to the water and I'll have to fix that, other than that the unit is 100% dry.
- The upper area behind the front cap needs new insulation and all the electronic stuff that's up in there (VCR, antenna controller, etc..) needs to be rewired (or I'll simply get rid of it).
- The underneath sealants inbetween the bulkheads and flooring will need to be redone.

Wish me luck guys, I hope I'll see you on the road soon!

Cheers,
Matt
