Hi Everyone!
I have a tendency to "lurk"...it's not because I'm creepy...I'm just shy!
My name is Heather..I'm 33 yo and I'm an RN.(I work graveyard...that's why I'm up so late).
I'm planning on full-timing within 6 months. After much research, I've decided the Bigfoot 40MH32ST (with Kodiak diesel)will suit my needs (No hubbie, no kids). I plan on taking my motorcycle (Honda shadow VLX..although I'd like the VTX 1300) and my mustang.
It seems like everything is falling into place...my dreams are coming true! Nursing agencies won't leave me alone with job offers (their big questions are "where do you want to go?" and "how soon can you leave?")!I'll be making more money traveling than if I stay put (but money isn't everything...in fact, it isn't anything!). There's a Bigfoot dealer about 100 miles away (which turns out to be a nice little backroads ride on the MC). I love being with older adults (which populate most RV parks) because most of my patients are older adults...the stories and wisdom they share...well, I just listen carefully and sponge it up! And, so far, everything that could be a challenge, just seems to be working out...it's almost like the spirit of the universe is telling me to go for it!
I love exploring new places on my bike! I love meeting new people! And I love the "down-sizing" I'm currently experiencing...it's so "freeing".
Thank you for the welcome and don't hate me if I "lurk".

I only found this site yesterday. I've been a member of the soon to be gone chat site at rvamericachat.com. I was directed here by other's that are moving to the new iRV2 Chatters chat room where the gang gathers almost every evening.

My wife Karen and I have been RV'ing since May of 2004 when we took delivery of our new from the factory Winnebago Journey 34H. We loved that coach. Spent 5 weeks traveling the entire southern half of the U.S. in the summer of 2005, Spent 3 weeks going out to the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque last fall. We've also taken many short trips. We go out at least once a month. We live in North Georgia, and even though it gets cold here we don't winterize. Instead, we've built a pad, and put in a 50 amp power service, and keep the coach powered up and ready to go all year long. This year, we're both retired from active work and are looking forward to having a lot more time to go traveling.

Unfortunately on Jan 29, while bringing the coach home from a weekend stay at a nearby lake, I narrowly avoided a head on collision with a drunk driver who came straight at me in my lane. I was unhurt, but the other driver died at the scene. The coach wasn't so lucky he hit it at full speed (40-60mph) without ever trying to stop, right in front of the rear drive wheels. The coach is a total loss.

Thankfully we have replacement value coverage insurance and we should take delivery on our new Meridian 34H next week.

Heather (aka Girlierider600)...welcome aboard to IRV2! It sounds like you really aren't a lurker deep down...Any "Girl" who rides...isn't a lurker!
Good luck on your new rig when you get it and get out there and do your thing! I also want to take a moment to thank you and all the other traveling nurses out there who do the job you do. Keep us up to date and post often!
