Idahodians....

Howdy!

Sylvia here. Just got a 1979 Free Spirit Cub by Holiday Rambler that will require a small amount (I hope) of work to bring her back to her full glory.

The trailer came with some original manuals and the first thing we have to deal with is the external wiring because someone decided to cut the pigtail off. Husband practice his best foul language when he found that out... but I swear he saw the trailer before "we" bought it. LOL

Anyway I joined in hopes of gaining some moral support and knowledge from you "pros" lol Thanks in advance.

BTW... I am a part-time leather worker. I make guitar straps mostly right now ... here's a couple I made for friends. Bamboo and paisly... hand carved and finished from 10oz saddle leather

Hi Sylvia, welcome to the forum. Nice work there. As to your husband's language - a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Some things are deserving of less than nice language.

Hi Sylvia! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you with us! That's some great looking leather work! I sure hope you don't run into too many problems getting the rig fixed up. I would suggest that you post your questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum for better responses. Not too many folks hang out here. Good luck & God bless!

Thanks HappyCampers. We haven't even gotten it home yet. Thank goodness the folks we bought it from are wonderful people and said to take our time. We need to get the hitch and lights sorted on the Explorer before we would even attempt moving it. And I'm needing to wait for another paycheck.

I've been poking about in the vintage tt forum. Recently learned about Weight Distribution hitches.... who knew?! lol
