I'm Baaack

Not new but now I'm back .
I joined this site a couple of years ago when the wife and I bought a 26' Sunflyer. After six months, decided that we weren't using it enough to warrant keeping it so sold that and bought a 5th wheel trailer with slide, which I still have. This last January, we got back into fishing so we bought a boat. I felt like Goldielock because I bought a camper mounted it on my truck and was able to tow the boat. Problem was that the truck lost it's function of "haul" Home Depot stuff . Sold the camper and bought the current 22' '84 Winnebago Chieftain with 31K original miles. Genset had 30 hours on the meter. After a thorough cleaning and repairing/replacing and upgrading I've got it roadworthy and set to go camping and fishing . Now the current problem is that the wife wants to put "her" curtains in, her own table cloth...etc. . I reminded her that this was for "my" camping/fishing RV use. Doesn't matter...her "girly" stuff is in there . You'd think after being married for 45years, I'd learn .

Just a side note, a couple we know saw our MH and liked it so much they looked for over 4 months and finally found an identical year/model and bought it. A very clean with low miles on their unit but (whisper)..they paid twice as much as I paid for mine . Moral of the story...it pays to shop around and be willing to do any work yourself .

Welcome back, Seon. The RV dealers must love to see you coming - sounds like you buy a different rig every couple of months!

Thanks for the warm welcome back.
Regarding the RV dealers...unfortunately the one closest to me closed their doors about 6 months ago. Recently, the two repair shops also closed their doors. Nearest shops are in Sacramento, some 1-1/2 hour away. At any rate, life is good .
