I'm back, maybe

We sold our RV in 2012 and moved to Hawaii. Now we're thinking of getting another RV on the mainland and spending a year or so looking around again, it was so much fun the last time. I'm going back to this forum to see what's good, what's not so good, what to look for, where to buy; useful things like that.
Our tentative plan is to fly somewhere a year or so from now (someplace without outrageous sales taxes on vehicle purchases), spring for a rental mailbox, buy something used, and head out.
Yes, that's not a well-developed plan, but hey, it worked the last time.
We're thinking 5th wheel this time instead of a Class A with toad, unless we can score a deal on a package, because frankly, setting up the toad was more work than I want to go through again and repairs on even a BIG pickup are nothing like repairs on a 36 ft Workhorse. But then, we're open.
Nice to be back

Friend of mine lived in Hawaii. Bought a MH on the mainland in OR and stored it an the towed in WA. Then they decided to sell the MH and towed and bought a used 5th wheel and truck to use in AK during the fishing season there.
I bought the towed but didn't need another MH.
