Hey kids!
I figure with the amount of questions I'm googling and youtubing everyday, I may as well join a forum!
My wife and I are fixing up an 18' 1973 Ford Econoline Fireball to live in full time until we get can buy our own home.
I bought the RV a couple years ago with a band I was in with the intention of turning it into a touring vehicle. We tore out the original sink, stove, bathroom.... all of it. Including the horribly water damaged frame. Naturally, the band broke up before the project was finished. The RV has been sitting at the drummer's house for the last year. We've spent the last two weeks taking a crash course in RV building. It's kind of nice being able to build our new home how we want it, but it would've been better to know how some of these things were supposed to be.
We're going with more of a "rolling tiny home" than an RV approach. No holding tanks, no DC power. Only running from standard RV hookups.
Here she is from the first day we started working on her.
My wife started a blog to document our build. Feel free to check it out and drop any pointers if it looks like we're doing anything totally wrong!
