I joined this forum about a year ago so I guess it is time I introduced us to the best RV Forum anywhere. I started the camping life in 1973 with a 12' Wolverine slide in that served me well until I bought a 1980 Terry 31' trailer in 1980. Unfortunately it went away as the result of divorce in 1989. I bought our current rig 3 years ago, a 1993 Gulfstream Friendship 102 38' DP.

My wife is a 6 year breast cancer survivor. I retired last August as a Fire Department Fleet Supervisor. We spent 5 months on a single retirement trip before finding our new home in South Carolina. We plan on spending at least 6 months of the year on the road and hope to meet many iRV2 members as we travel. Thanks to all who make this forum possible, it is a great resource.

Welcome. Keep us posted on your adventures. SC is a nice place to retire if you can survive 2 months of the hot humid mid summers. I lived in Summerville for 8 years while in and working for the Military and always loved the Charleston SC area. I'll be in Paris Island area this fall for my son's graduation form Jar Head (ops, sorry:>) I mean Marine Boot camp. For your summer get-a-way trips I recommend the 'Pennsylvania Wilds' areas - lots of nice forest State Parks and the temps are mostly reasonable. 600 or 700 miles north of you.

Welcome automch! We're not full time yet, but we did buy property in SC, not far from you, on Lake Greenwood.

See you on the road!
