ISO advice - New small Class A w/wheelchair lift
Greetings!
I'm beginning my quest for a new, short Class A (~30') into which I can add a wheelchair lift. Information on shops that can perform this conversion would be fantastic!
Thanks!!

It's closer to 40' but the Newmar Canyon Star 3911 already comes with a powered wheelchair lift.

As an owner of two motorhomes with wheelchair lifts, One 36' & one 39', I don't think you'll find one under 36'. There isn't enough room for the lift to fit. Now, I'm assuming that you mean a wheelchair lift that you drive upon & then you raise the lift to floor height, then drive off the lift, which then you close the lift & shut the door. If you mean a chair lift where you hook up a harness, then you might find one under 30', but I never pursued that option as it wouldn't work for my purposes.
Newmar and possibly Winnebago are the only two manufacturers that will do it at the factory, Newmar on their regular assembly line, but not Winnebago. With them, you must first purchase an assembly line product, then they "modify" it. My advice, go Newmar Canyon Star.

Welcome to irv2.
In this link you will find info on Handicap needs for RVing.
Do not see a BAY STAR short coach on the list at this time but some of the members may have suggestions.
Good luck in your pursuit and a new adventure.

Thanks much for your thoughts (and welcome), folks!
I'm really hoping to stay on the short side with whatever rig I purchase. I would like to find a shop that is able to modify a rig that I bring to them. I'm fairly certain I can make it work with some modifications to the door width and minor rearrangement of the factory furniture.
I'll post in an appropriate forum to get this out of the New Member check-in space.

Good luck in your search for class A under 30' that can be modified for an ADA compliant wheelchair lift.
