It's good to be here...

Iím new to this forum, a forum member named mpaton, recommended I become a member. My RV that I full-time in is a 33í 1994 Holiday Rambler Vacationer powered by a FI 460 Ford V8. I met mpaton when, towards the end of my recent 5,400 mile Grand Western North America Tour and Shakedown Journey, I developed a bad engine bearing and decided to replace my RVís engine. The engine only had 63K on it but apparently the RVís previous owner didnít believe in doing mundane tasks such as maintenance of any kind. Mpaton had completed a similar engine replacement in his Winnebago some years ago and graciously stepped up and helped me with my engine replacement. As for me, Iím 67, a semi-retired geologist and have been a shade-tree mechanic my entire life. That said I will admit to not being truly up to speed with modern FI, though I can often muddle through with the help of engine/FI manuals and others. Anyhow, itís good to be here.
